I currently serve as the Bren Chair of Military Innovation at the Marine Corps University. My work also includes serving as a Cyber Security  Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council and as Senior Advisor to the Cyberspace Solarium Commission.

My research is focused on cyber security, popular culture and conflict, race and ethnicity politics, and international conflict. 

Our 2018 book is Cyber Strategy, now available from Amazon and OUP.

I serve as the Area Editor for International Relations and Strategy for the Journal of Cybersecurity and General Editor for the Routledge Book Series on Conflict, Security and Technology.
